Here is a list of things we do at the beginning of our meetings. This applies to zoom and in person meetings.
- Engage any new people directly as they arrive, get their names
- At the meeting start, welcome everyone and remind people that this is a safe space.
- Mention this is for discussing our power dynamic relationships
- Creeper watch. Private message me if anyone acts creepy or private messages you etc. I will be happy to ban anyone you ask me too.
- Make space take space.
- Family feel for newbies and regulars. Not forced to speak.
- Encourage note taking, mention notebooks and pens. Hand out paper and pens if necessary.
- Mention website and fetlife group and subscribing to meeting@sfdsdg.org
- Confidentiality policy stays within your dynamic
- Raise hand for inclusion in the queue
- Point of clarification hand raise
- Mention cost and envelope
- Silence phones
- Announcements
- Show book and pass it around
- Mention opening lens concept (didn’t learn much about each other without it)
- Instructions about saying name and a little about self
